A new journal page that's something like an old ATC

This is a new page in my smaller journal. My Dark Desert Maid.

I've received lots of nice comments on my Flickr account about this page.

Here is a similar image to the one above that I used on an ATC. I guess I got them from the same old magazine.

I like how they turned out.

Some new ATC

Here are four new ATC I made on Sunday evening. The images are from an old magazine and the wording is from an old dictonary and from an old 1950's etiquette book.

The background for this ATC is cut from aa tissue box.

A Few New ATC!

I was inspired over the weekend and did some ATC. They are all done with images from old books I've collected over the past several years. The books are falling apart (those are the ones I look for) so I don't really have to take the pages out becuase they are already falling out. I figure I'm giving them NEW life!

This photo was black and white and I wanted to give it a little bit of color. Not sure if it helps or not. Suggestions?

I loved this picture of the Queen of the Fairies. It was black and white like the cat and dog above and I gave it some color. I feel it needs something else but I don't know what yet. Any ideas?

Swaps, Swaps, & Swaps

I thought I would like swapping and I was right. Over the last month I've done two ATC swaps and a 1" square swap. Here they are:

Here is the 1" square swap. Isn't it lovely? Thanks to Grace & Becky for organizing the swap.

I also did an ATC swap with Beth. It was her first swap and my first ATC swap.

Here is her ATC. I love it. It is so charming. Thanks Beth. Let's do it again. I'm ready to start working on some new ones for you!

And here is mine. I hope you liked it Beth.

My friend Maggie Ann and I also decided to do an ATC swap. Here are her ATC. Aren't they lovely. Thank you Maggie Ann. Each has a bible verse on the back.

Here are the ATC I swapped with Maggie Ann. I hope she liked them.

Two new ATC

Cherish Friendship

Life was all before us.

I had these laying on my craft table for about a month waiting to be finished. So today when I had some extra time to myself I finished them. I love the background paper. I wish I had more of it but it was only an 8x8 piece of paper.

Artist Trading Card

Here is my latest ATC. Women's Lib. The dictionary text is: Woman suffrage - Political suffrage as applying to women; women's right to vote. I felt this lady and her little dog may have just come from some sort of rally for women and against corsets! (maybe those big hats too!)

New 1" squares & a new ATC

Ladies in Gray - Lia at Art Junk Girl says people are always asking her why she likes to do 1" squares. I can answer that question - Because they are FUN! For me its a quick way to create something and I like the up close feel of the pictures and words. They are quick and to the point. Try a few you might like it!

Unanswered Letters - Artist Trading Cards (ATC) are also FUN! They offer a little bigger area to work with but they can be quick and easy to make too! Both the ATC and squares offer a place to use up your scraps.

The lovely lady in this ATC was sent to me by Gail at Shabby Cottage Studio. I bought one of her pieces and she was kind enough to include a few goodies to use in my art. This is the first piece I've used and I think it turned out well.
